Wildfire Threat Continues for Alabama

In This Article

More than 40 wildfires have burned approximately a thousand acres throughout Alabama this week, according to WKRG. In Mobile and Baldwin Counties alone, hundreds of acres have been burned.

The gusty winds and low humidity level has helped the wildfires spread.

While a burn ban has not been issued, firefighters want the public to know it is too dangerous to burn anything outside. Residents should check the weather forecast before attempting to burn anything outdoors. If in doubt about whether to burn anything outside, contact your local fire department for advice.

Citrin Law Firm wants resident to know that The National Weather Service has issued a fire weather watch for several counties in Alabama this afternoon. The watch is in effect for the following counties: Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Marengo, Dallas, Autuga, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike and Barbour.

With the wildfires continuing to spread throughout the state, homes and businesses are at risk for fire damage. Home and business owners that have questions about insurance claims should contact Citrin Law Firm today.
