Nasally Inhaled Esketamine
Spravato™

Esketamine, known as Spravato, is a powerful antidepressant treatment derived from ketamine. It is the first nasal spray medication approved by the FDA to treat depression. Unlike traditional antidepressants, Spravato is delivered intra-nasally, similar to a common nasal decongestant, and does not require daily administration.

When combined with an antidepressant, Spravato has been clinically shown to improve symptoms of depression over just 4 weeks. Spravato is administered twice weekly for the first month, once weekly for the second month, and once every two weeks for subsequent months.

Patients undergoing esketamine therapy often report mild sedation and dissociation effects during or shortly after treatment. Other potential side effects include nausea, dizziness, vertigo, and headache.

Before starting esketamine therapy, we will discuss all potential side effects and interactions to ensure Spravato is the right treatment for you. Visit our Houston, Texas office to learn more about esketamine therapy and how it can help you.

Houston’s Certified Treatment Center Offering Spravato/Ketamine for Depression

Spravato (esketamine) is life-saving for people with severe depression who do not respond to other treatments. At Revived wellness, we offer state-of-the-art care in a private and discreet setting. In addition to routine treatments like standard antidepressants and therapy, we provide breakthrough treatments for patients whose depression has not responded to other therapies. One of these is Spravato, described as the “Biggest Breakthrough in Depression Treatment in 50 Years.”

Spravato is now an FDA-approved treatment, and Revived wellness is proud to have helped prove its efficacy during research development. We are one of the first to use this groundbreaking treatment. Visit our Houston, Texas office to experience the benefits of Spravato therapy. The FDA mandates that Spravato treatment be administered only at approved treatment centers and cannot be prescribed for home use.

At our office, the treatment is conducted as an outpatient procedure, ensuring privacy and comfort. Traditional antidepressants may not be effective for everyone because they target only a few of the brain’s chemical transmitter systems, such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Spravato is the first and only approved NMDA antagonist for treatment-resistant depression, modulating NMDA receptors to affect glutamate.
